TITLE: M2/M3A2 BRADLEY FIGHTING VEHICLE SYSTEM

OBJECTIVE: With supervision and with assistance, given a M2/M3A2 or M2/M3A2 turret trainer, DA Form 2404/5988-E, STE-Ml/FVS, power supply adapter (ABIT), necessary tools, equipment, and references, the student will troubleshoot, service, replace, repair, purge, and adjust turret/launcher components, perform STE-Ml/FVS and ABIT turret/launcher system of the M2/M3A2.

LESSON NO: 45T-B-0l
TITLE: M2/M3A2 FAMILIARIZATION AND OPERATION
In a classroom/shop environment, given a M2/M3A2 or a M2/M3A2 turret trainer, special tools, references, and equipment, the student will operate the M2/M3A2 turret in accordance with applicable references. In addition, the student must observe all safety precautions and locate and identify maintenance information and repair parts in publications.

TITLE: INTRODUCTION TO TURRET MECHANIC'S TOOL SET AND TOOL ACCOUNTABILITY
In a classroom/shop environment, given the applicable turret mechanic tool set, supply catalog, and references, the student will identify turret mechanic tools in accordance with applicable references. In addition, the student will explain proper care, use, and accountability procedures.

TITLE: INTRODUCTION TO THE STE-Ml/FVS TEST SET/PERFORM SELF-TEST
In a classroom/shop environment, given necessary references and equipment, with assistance and supervision, the student will identify the components of and operate the STE-Ml/FVS test set and power supply adapter (ABIT) in accordance with the references. In addition, the student will perform the self-test of this equipment.

TITLE: PERFORM TURRET TESTS USING THE STE-Ml/FVS ON THE M2/M3A2
In a classroom/shop environment, given a M2/M3A2 or M2/M3A2 turret trainer, necessary tools, STE-Ml/FVS test set, power supply adapter (ABIT) and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will perform selected STE-Ml/FVS turret tests in accordance with the references.

In a shop environment, given examination materials, applicable references, tools, and equipment, the student will be given a comprehensive examination covering information taught within previous lessons. Students must achieve a GO on all performance tasks.

TITLE: REMOVE M242, 25-MM AUTOMATIC GUN, AND FEEDER SYSTEM
In a shop environment, given a M2/H3A2 or M2/H3A2 turret trainer, necessary tools, equipment, and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will unload, remove, and install the M242 25-MM automatic gun assembly in accordance with the references.

TITLE: TROUBLESHOOT THE M2/H3A2 TURRET SYSTEM USING TMDE
In a shop environment, given a M2/M3A2 or M2/M3A2 turret trainer, necessary tools, STE-Ml/FVS, power supply adapter (ABIT), break out box (BOB), DA Form 2404/5988-E and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will troubleshoot the turret systems in accordance with the references.

TITLE: ADJUST M2/M3A2 TRAVERSE DRIVE LINKAGES AND SWITCH
In a shop environment, given a M2/M3A2 or M2/M3A2 turret trainer, power adapter supply (ABIT), necessary tools, equipment, DA Form 2404/5988-E and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will troubleshoot the traverse drive assembly, adjust the traverse drive brake sensitive switch and the traverse drive brake and shift linkages in accordance with the references.

TITLE: REPLACE M2/M3A2 ELEVATION DRIVE ASSEMBLY
In a shop environment, given a M2/M3A2 or M2/M3A2 turret trainer, STE-Ml/FVS, power supply adapter (ABIT), necessary tools, DA Form 2404/5988-E and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will troubleshoot the gun elevation drive assembly, replace the gun elevation drive motor, gearbox, and hand wheel drive chain, and adjust the shift and brake linkages, sensitive switch and variable resistor in accordance with the references.

In a shop environment, given a M2/H3A2 or M2/M3A2 turret trainer, STE-Ml/FVS, necessary tools, DA Form 2404/5988-E and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will troubleshoot and replace the encoder adapter and slip ring assembly in accordance with the references. In addition, the student will adjust the encoder.

TITLE: REPLACE M2/M3A2 INTERGRATED SIGHT UNIT
In a shop environment, given a M2/M3A2 or M2/N3A2 turret trainer, STE-M1/FVS, necessary tools, DA Form 2404/5988-E and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will troubleshoot, replace, inspect and service the integrated sight unit (ISU) in accordance with the references.

TITLE: EXAMINATION AND CRITIQUE
In a classroom/shop environment, given examination materials, applicable references, equipment and tools, the student will complete a comprehensive examination covering information taught throughout this annex. Students must achieve a minimum score of 70 percent on the written test and a GO on all performance tasks.
