OBJECTIVE: With assistance and supervision, given a M9OlAl ITV/M981 FISTV necessary tools and equipment, DA Form 2404/5988-E, and applicable references, the student will troubleshoot, service, replace, repair, purge, adjust and perform Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services on the M9O1Al ITV/M981 FISTV turret.

LESSON NO: 45T-D-01
TITLE: M9OlAl ITV/M981 FISTV VEHICLE FAMILIARIZATION AND OPERATION
In a classroom/shop environment, given a M9OlAl ITV/M981 FISTV and applicable references and equipment, the student will operate the M9OlA1/M981 FISTV turret in accordance with the references. In addition, the student must observe all safety precautions, locate and identify maintenance information and repair parts in references, identify tools and vehicle components and describe their functions.

TITLE: TROUBLESHOOT M9O1Al ITV/M981 FISTV TURRET ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS
In a shop environment, given a M9OlAl ITV/M981 FISTV, necessary tools and equipment, DA Form 2404/5988-E and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will troubleshoot the driver's, cargo open/cargo closed and gunner's hatch proximity switch, the azimuth (slew or track) brake, and the azimuth limit switch assembly in accordance with the references. In addition, the student will adjust the azimuth switch assembly and azimuth stow and load cams, and replace the gunner's proximity switch assembly and the azimuth (slew or track) brake. In a simulated NBC environment, six hours of this training will be performed in MOPP 4.

TITLE: TROUBLESHOOT M9O1Al ITv/M981 FISTV TURRET HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS
In a shop environment, given a M9OlAl ITv/M981 FISTV, necessary tools and equipment, DA Form 2404/5988-E and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will replace and service the hydraulic accumulator, the hydraulic oil tank, and the hydraulic filter in accordance with the references. In addition, the student will replace the elevation cylinder assembly and erection drive motor.

TITLE: EXAMINATION AND CRITIQUE
In a shop environment, given examination materials, necessary tools and equipment, and applicable references, the student will complete a comprehensive examination covering information taught within previous lessons. Students must achieve a GO on all performance tasks.

TITLE: SERVICE M9OlA1 ITV/M981 FISTV SIGHTING AND FIRE CONTROL SYSTEMS
In a shop environment, given a M9OlAl ITV/M981 FISTV, necessary tools and equipment, DA Form 2404/5988-E and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will service the tank periscope, panoramic telescope, perform a self test on the missile guidance set (to include alignment of day and night sight), troubleshoot vehicle power conditioner, adjust the GLLD dust cover assembly and bracket (to include the GLLD dust cover switch assembly adjustment) and adjust the GLLD carriage assembly in accordance with the references.

TITLE: UNIT LEVEL PMCS ON M9OlAl ITV/M981 FISTV TURRET SYSTEMS
In a shop environment, given a M9O1A1 ITV/M981 FISTV, necessary tools and equipment, blank DA Forms and applicable references, with assistance and supervision, the student will execute unit level Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services on the M9OlAl ITV/M981 FISTV in accordance with the references.

TITLE: EXAMINATION AND CRITIQUE
In a classroom/shop environment, given examination materials, applicable references, equipment and tools, the student will complete a comprehensive examination covering information taught throughout this annex. Students must achieve a score of 70 percent on the written test and a GO on all performance tasks.
